With the ups and downs of the last two years, we wanted to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your support of our Alberta-based, family-owned business. We have been a proud part of the downtown community for over 30 years and have loved watching the communities grow and evolve through the decades. Our Bankers Hall location opened in Calgary in 1990, followed by our Commerce Place location in Edmonton in 1994, and finally our TC Energy location in Calgary in 2002. After so many years of service, it was incredibly difficult for us to close our doors or limit our services to our loyal customers, even temporarily. As we continue to transition back to normal, we can’t help but feel excited to see the smiling faces of our customers back in our markets again.

For those who are not familiar with our downtown markets, they offer a specialized experience designed to help inner city workers easily enjoy delicious, wholesome food. Inside our markets, you’ll find a wide range of items perfect for those of us who are constantly on the go along with a convenient offering of fresh market groceries to take home at the end of the day.

With so many of our friends coming back to work in their downtown offices, we’re excited to share this long-awaited news! As many of our faithful downtown customers know, our TC Energy and our Commerce Place markets have been closed for many months — but that’s over! These two locations are officially open for business, and we can’t wait to see you for your morning coffee, your lunch break or your quick and easy dinner pickup. Although our Bankers Hall market has been open, the hours have been limited, so we’re excited to share that we are expanding our hours and increasing our offerings across the market.

Start your morning with us! Stop by early for that first cup of coffee and enjoy our incredible drip and espresso offerings from Lavazza. Our baristas will offer you four different drip coffee options: dark (Gran Riserva), medium (Top Class), light (Gold Selection) or decaf (Dek). Each roast is made from a blend of sustainably sourced beans and carefully compiled to ensure the best flavour profile no matter the harvest or time of year. You’ll find a ton of espresso-based hot and cold beverages on the menu too, like a classic latte or a rich, creamy mocha. We spent nearly five years searching for coffee of the best quality, flavour and value to serve customers across all our market locations, and thanks to Lavazza, we found it. If you’ve never tried our coffee, now is the best time to start!

From April 4 to 8, you can enjoy a FREE medium Lavazza drip coffee or espresso beverage until 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome, so gather your friends and colleagues to reconnect over a cup of java. It’s our way of expressing our gratitude, welcoming you back and celebrating that all nine of our markets are now open.   

While you’re sipping away at your free coffee, why not nibble on a tasty breakfast sandwich, wrap or panini? Indulge in flavours like our egg, Modena ham and cheddar sandwich on a buttery, scratch-made biscuit. (Psst: you’ll get double Fresh Rewards points on our breakfast sandwiches throughout April, too!)

It’s never too early to start thinking about lunch, and with as many choices as we have to offer, you can try something new every day of the week! Each market has multiple hot food stations you can visit for a freshly prepared warm meal. We’re talking freshly grilled piadinas, scratch-made soups, hearty pastas and oven-fired pizzas. You can also visit our big pan station — a giant European-inspired cast iron pan (around 300 pounds!) used to cook hearty meals that rotate daily. If you’re feeling something lighter, take a trip to the salad bar to build your own custom creation or pick up a sandwich or wrap from our Grab ‘n’ Go Section. The options are aplenty, so you’ll never find yourself stuck in a lunch rut.

Finally, if the thought of cooking dinner after a long workday has you feeling blue, we offer a variety of heat-and-eat meals like pizzas, quesadillas and baked pastas for you to simply take home, pop in the oven and enjoy with the whole family. Our Market-Made fresh pastas, sauces and soups are also a great way to serve a restaurant-quality meal without the prep or the hassle.

Being back in the office means in-person meetings, and what’s a meeting without some tasty snacks? Whether you’re feeding 15 or 50, our catering team is here to make every meal its very best. From pastries, sandwich trays and hors d’oeuvres to travel-friendly breakfast boxes and decadent desserts there’s something for every occasion.
