At Sunterra, we have a simple purpose — to make life better for our customers. We know that food is an important part of our customer’s days, and that’s why we’re so excited to announce the expansion of our Sunterra Market-Made program. Scratch-made in small batches by our market chefs using simple, high quality ingredients, each of these products are mindfully crafted from beginning to end.

By making things ourselves, we can control quality, food safety and all aspects of production so we can provide a delicious, wholesome food experience to our customers at an affordable price.

Pasta & Sauce

In 2020 we launched the first items from our market-made program - fresh pastas and sauces, inspired by a trip to Italy with our senior management and leadership team where we saw firsthand the importance of using simple ingredients. 

Each of the six different pastas are made with only 2 quality ingredients: Omega-3 eggs and remilled durum semolina flour. Our cuts include casarecce — a short pasta noodle with curled edges and a groove down the middle; orecchiette — a rounded pasta perfect for sauce-catching; plus lasagna, spaghetti alla chitarra, fettuccine and rigatoni.

Pasta is nothing without the sauce, so our team of chefs created six flavourful market-made sauces; Alfredo — using the best Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, aged for 24 months, seasoned with garlic, white wine and plenty of fresh cracked black pepper; Bolognese — ground beef simmered with Sunterra Farms bacon and red wine; as well as classic beef, four cheese alfredo, pesto alfredo and pomodoro. 

New Additions

Just in time for soup season, we have now launched six ready-to-heat soups. With flavours that will please carnivores and vegetarians alike, each of these soups are rich and satisfying with a home-made feel and taste. Paired with a loaf of our artisan bread, these hearty soups are an affordable way to enjoy a versatile meal. Made with just the best, fresh ingredients. 

To sweeten the pot even more, you’ll earn bonus Fresh Rewards points on all market-made soups during the month of November!

We also offer three different slow simmered broths, available in beef, chicken or turkey. These stocks are delicious enough to sip on their own, or use them to boost the flavour in your own recipes. 

Coming for the Holidays

With the busy holiday season just around the corner, we know our customers will be looking for ways to save time without cutting corners, and our selection of market-made dips, spreads and salsas do just that! Put together a great tasting spread in a matter of minutes using our most popular Sunterra sauces! We are cooking up a whole lineup of flavours, but will launch with a trio of scoop-worthy dips for the holidays.

Jar Redemption

At Sunterra, sustainability is important to us, and that’s why all of our market-made products are packaged in a Sunterra branded glass jar meant to be brought back to our markets and redeemed for a deposit refund. Once returned, our team gathers the jars, then cleans and sanitizes them to be reused. Our goal is to reduce the use of single-use plastics in our markets, and we are grateful to our customers for embracing and supporting this initiative.
