We’re always looking for an excuse to eat cheese, and this month that excuse is St. Patrick’s Day. Our feature cheese is Cows Creamery Extra Old Cheddar which is actually made in Canada, but it’s based off a recipe from the Orkney Islands just north of Scotland so at least that’s close to Ireland, no? Well we’re going with it, so mark your calendars on March 17 as we make St. Patrick’s Day even better with cheddar.
You’ll need a wholesome breakfast to balance out the craic you’ll get up to later. And this rich, milky cheese broiled on Irish oatmeal is hard te beat.
Get a dose of spuds at lunchtime and you’ll be in fine form all day. Melt some extra old cheddar into yer bowl to add a sweet, tangy bite.
Bangers and Mash
This Irish-ish dish is usually smothered in gravy, but is also grand when covered in this award-winning cheddar. Enjoy with a pint of the black stuff. Slainte!
