Q: Why is Sunterra offering this Value Pork Pack?
A: As longtime pork farmers, processors and retailers through our vertical integration structure, we are uniquely aware of how Canada-wide inflation affects the Alberta pork industry. With this in mind, and consumer frustrations at an all-time high, we are determined to offer our valued customers a way to save money and feed their families; by providing them with premium quality, affordable pork. With summer just around the corner, it felt like the perfect time to offer our customers a Value Pork Pack great for grilling, while making a difference during this industry-altering time.
Q: What’s in the Value Pork Pack?
A: For only $49 (a regular retail value of $88), customers will receive 5.1kg of pork, including: two 6-packs of boneless pork loin chops, two pork tenderloins and two racks of pork back ribs. All items are fresh, vacuum packed and can easily be placed in the freezer.
Q: Does the Value Pork Pack contain fresh or frozen pork?
A: Our Value Pork Pack contains fresh Alberta pork, but each item is also vacuum packed for easy and convenient freezing.
Q: What is the weight of the Value Pork Pack? What is the price/kg?
A: Each pack has a guaranteed minimum weight of 5.1kg (11.2lb). At $49/pack, this equates to $9.61/kg or $4.40/lb.
Q: I understand that Sunterra has their own farming operations, but how are other Alberta farmers benefiting from this?
A: All the fresh pork you’ll find in our markets comes from Sunterra Farms, but we also work with a network of 12+ other family farms across Alberta! These farms work to help supply pork for Soleterra d’Italia, our export market in Japan and our limited-time Value Pork Pack. We maintain close relationships with each farm and have strict protocols in place to ensure a consistent product across the board. We hope that our efforts encourage customers to choose Alberta pork from any Albertan farmer and support local.
Q: How do I order a Value Pork Pack?
A: Value Pork Packs must be pre-ordered through our online order form. You can pre-order your pack and arrange a pickup date and location here.
Q: Where are the pickup locations?
A: You may pick up your pack at many of our market locations. We do require that you specify a location at the time of ordering.

Q: Can I pre-order multiple packs?
A: Yes! Items in the pack are vacuum packed and are perfect for freezing for future meals.
Q: When can I pick up my Value Pork Pack?
A: Pickup dates can be found on the pre-order form (first come, first serve availability). If we receive ongoing demand, we will continue to produce these packs and add pick-up dates as required.
Q: How many packs are available? How long will this promotion be running?
A: We have lots of packs available, but supply is still limited so we encourage you to pre-order quickly. It is our goal that everyone who wants a Value Pork Pack can be accommodated, so we will continue to offer pick up dates based on demand and supply.
Q: Can I pre-order my Value Pork Pack in one of your markets?
A: Yes, please scan the QR code found on the Truckload Sale signage in the market and complete the Microsoft Form. This form is the only method to pre-order.

A: Sunterra is reducing pork prices across the market, not to the same extent as the Value Pork Pack, but the savings for consumers will be significant. Because we are farmers, processors and retailers we can reduce retail margins, and lead pricing in the industry. Customers can feel confident when they come to Sunterra Market that they will get the best quality and best pricing on fresh Alberta pork as compared to other supermarkets.
