Two Ways to Cut a Mango

Juicy, sweet and totally tropical, mangoes are our top produce pick this month. Direct from Mexico, they have over 20 vitamins and minerals including potassium, vitamin A and vitamin C. Plus, they're just darn tasty!

We sell Ataulfo, Haden amd Tommy Atkins mangoes. Ataulfos are bright yellow with a flattened oblong shape and smooth texture. The other two types are your more traditional mango - larger and rounder with red/green skin and fibrous flesh. 

No matter the type of mango, the best way to test ripeness is a gentle squeeze. A ripe mango will give slightly. Store unripened mangoes at room temperature, but move ripe ones to the fridge (if for some strange reason you decide not to devour them at that point).
