For a crunchy topping, try pistachios or almond slivers.
4 tbsp – butter
1 cup – brown sugar
4 – B.C. peaches, pitted & cut into half-inch slices
4 oz – peach schnapps or brandy
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/4 tsp – orange zest, finely chopped
4 scoops – vanilla ice cream
In a skillet on medium heat, melt butter.
Add brown sugar and stir until sugar dissolves. Turn heat to high, add peaches and orange zest and sauté for about 3 minutes.
Slowly and carefully add alcohol, and then set it aflame. Let it burn out before serving over the ice cream.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy.
